On the fabric:

All fabric in the kit is reclaimed.

The linen pieces are sized generously — large enough for garment repairs, tote panels, or framed textile art.

The Japanese panel is chosen for its print and its weight; it deserves a considered project.

The smaller Japanese pieces are for Boro repair & art collaging.

On the stencils:

Eight stencils gives you a proper working library.

Traditional patterns include Asanoha (hemp leaf), Seigaiha (ocean waves), Ajiro (Wickerwork), Hitomezashi (bamboo) and more.

Each one carries centuries of meaning — the pattern history card included in this kit tells you what you're stitching and why it matters.

On the tools:

The shears are for thread cutting — chosen because sashiko deserves proper tools. The shears allow to get a sleek cut to make needle threading process easier.

The kit includes 2 types of sashiko needles for thiner and thicker fabrics.

There are 4 heat erasable pens to draw your own patterns.
