This matched pair of designer silk crinkle fabric lengths shows the same botanical rosehip motif printed across two contrasting grounds — one white, airy and diffused; one deep black, saturated and dramatic. Together they tell the full story of a print, light and dark, day and night.
This is what a luxury fabric house produces when testing a print at different colour densities — and it is extraordinarily rare to find a matched pair like this outside of a design studio.

These two cuts are print calibration lengths — produced by a luxury Italian silk mill to test how the same design reads across different grounds. The numbered grid references visible along the edge are part of the original proofing process. They are not a flaw. They are the whole point.

Through our Stash Swap programme, fabrics and yarns are donated and shared within the community. Materials that aren’t rehomed during our swap events are then sorted, checked, and prepared by our team.
We make them available again through our online shop and textile reuse pop-ups — keeping them in circulation for as long as possible.
