Autumn Rag Wreath Making Kit | Moss & Marigold Palette No. 1
Inspired by woodland walks and the first fallen leaves.
Make your own autumn rag wreath from reclaimed fabrics. This is Palette No. 1 in our rag wreath collection. Each palette has its own mix of colours, so you can choose the one that suits your door. The kit has a 12 inch copper wire ring, six fabrics to cut into strips and tie on, and felt to make your own leaves. It's super beginner friendly. You don't need to sew, you just cut, tie and fluff.
Every fabric is reclaimed, so no two kits are exactly alike. Your fabrics will vary slightly from the photos.
What's inside
- 1 copper wire wreath ring (12 inch / 30 cm)
- 6 reclaimed fabrics
- 2 sheets of felt for leaves
- Leaf templates
- Instructions
You'll need: scissors. You can also add your own ribbon, buttons or beads if you want to decorate it.
Fabric guide
- Green batik with scalloped edge: cotton
- Mustard and white floral: linen & polyester
- Green and black animal print: viscose
- Olive and grey watercolour floral: polyester
- Plain olive: cotton & viscose
- Brown paisley floral with teal and pink: polyester
How it works
- Cut your fabrics into strips. About 2.5 cm wide and 15 cm long works well for a full wreath. Check this against your own wreath.
- Tie the strips onto the ring in a double knot, packing them tightly together.
- Keep going until the ring is full, then fluff it up.
- Use the templates to cut out your felt leaves, and add them to the wreath.
- Attach the hanging loop, then hang your wreath.
Perfect for: a front door, a mantel, a cosy autumn gift, a craft night with friends, a first-time maker, or using up your scrap fabric.

🌿 Why Choose Reclaimed Materials?
Reclaimed materials reduce waste in two powerful ways: they keep textiles out of landfill, and reduce the demand for new materials that require energy, water, and raw resources to produce.
By choosing reclaimed, you’re not just sourcing fabric — you’re taking part in a more thoughtful, circular way of making.
We also believe reclaimed materials invite a different kind of creativity — one that’s more resourceful, intuitive, and personal.
🧵 About Reclaimed Materials
Each piece is unique. Photos give a good indication of what you’ll receive, but tones, textures, and sizes may vary slightly from batch to batch.
Because these materials have had a previous life, you may notice small marks or imperfections. We see these as part of their character — not flaws, but stories that make your finished piece one of a kind.
All materials are carefully checked to ensure they’re suitable for creative reuse.
💸 Our Pricing
Our materials are priced to be accessible, while reflecting their quality and potential.
Because we work with reclaimed and surplus textiles, availability and pricing may vary over time. Each batch is different, and once it’s gone, it’s gone.
We aim to offer materials at significantly below typical retail value — making it easier to experiment, create, and make more with less.
🔄 Where Our Materials Come From
Our materials come from local makers, businesses, and creative projects that no longer need them.
Through our Stash Swap programme, fabrics and yarns are donated and shared within the community. Materials that aren’t rehomed during our swap events are then sorted, checked, and prepared by our team.
We make them available again through our online shop and textile reuse pop-ups — keeping them in circulation for as long as possible.
